When you are on the ocean you realize how small and insignificant you are to the bigger picture. Swimming with whales is magical and spiritually enriching. We had the opportunity to dive several times with a Humpback whale mother, newborn calf (mostly white color) and male companion. She was clearly exhausted and trying to rest below, baby calf had to surface every 10 minutes for air. We witnessed the baby calf nurse on her mother,,, so special.. Tonga is the only country where you can legally swim with the magnificent mammals.
