USA- Alaska- Afognak- Little Waterfall Bay

We observed a pair of otters in the bay, after we let our anchor down, one of the otters started a high pitch scream campaign aimed at us. Originally, I thought they were looking for another otter, but that was not the case. The sound was heart wrenching, like hearing a distressed baby cry. The otters proceeded to circle Illimite, giving us the “eye” and continuing with their Otter Scream, showing their teeth. We stayed 2 nights, I felt bad for invading the Otters kelp patch, they never returned.
