We sailed from Rockport Massachusetts to Kittery Maine with Tammy onboard. It is refreshing to have a friend on board, for fun Tammy braided my hair.
In Kittery we went to Fort McClary. For more than 275 years, this fort has stood
to protect the approaches to the Piscataqua River at the southern gateway to
Kittery, Maine. Fort MCclary was manned during five wars: The Revolutionary
War, War of 1812, Civil War, Spanish-American War, and World War I. Like most
other Maine forts, it saw little conflict.
From Kittery we sailed to the
Saco River to visit another good friend.
Onshore we went for a walk through the low lying marsh and had my friends
Dawn and Jimmy onboard for drinks.
