We were happy to safely arrive in Norfolk, we were greeted off the coast by a swarm of black biting flies and oppressive heat. We planned this stop to visit with Gary's daughter who is going to University there. Having left Florida and sailing up north I thought the humidity and heat was behind us, I was wrong. We had a couple days of 96F 35C (feels like 110 degree) heat during the day.
We had a lovely visit and really enjoyed spending time with Sarah, Gary's daughter. We even had the opportunity to take her and her friends out for a day sail which everyone thoroughly enjoyed.
