United States- Maryland

We were fortunate enough to have a close friend find us a safe mooring for SV Illimite in Annapolis.   We are always very grateful for the kindness and generosity of strangers, sailors  seem to always go the extra mile to assist weary travelers.   As if this wasn’t enough our new friend in Annapolis went out of his way to pick us up from the airport on our return.  We look forward to paying his generosity forward .

SV Illimite was left behind on a mooring ball while Gary and I went to his daughters wedding in Missouri.  The wedding was held outside in a beautiful meadow, during the ceremony you could hear the lovey chirps and chats of birds in the trees, while leaves naturally fell down and blessed the nuptials in process.   We had a nice visit with family and also got to visit Gary’s friends.

After returning from our Missouri trip, we had some repairs to do before sailing.  Our radar which failed after the horrendous lightning storm was replaced.

On our way north we stopped at Rock Hall, what a quaint marina and town.  The marina had bikes for us to use and while in town I spied a donut shop.   The next morning we got up for a 7am bike ride to score some fresh made mini donuts and coffee from Granny’s Goodies.  It was such a treat then off sailing we went.

About them fly's, we put up some fly traps and well it got me good.  It was horrifying sticky hair with a fly stuck in it.  Fortunately my partner is a surgeon and he deftly cut off my hair.
