After we left Ketchikan Alaska we noticed the increase of boats, homes, human population, and the extreme decline in wildlife (otters, whales, fish). There is a lot of logging being done on the remote islands and fish farming, it is a sad sight. We were fortunate to see a bear in the Great Bear Rainforest; we secretly hoped he could have the Kermode DNA gene, unfortunately, we never saw the elusive white Kermode aka Spirit Bear. We saw on two separate occasions Ocean Sunfish. These Sunfish are so bizarre looking, and they swim awkwardly at the surface.
