USA- Alaska- Prince William Sound- Surprise Glacier

We had a surprise at surprise glacier. The drone malfunctioned while Gary was flying it, he was not able to fly it back to the yacht. We had 15 minutes to get the dinghy launched and send the search and rescue mission off to the calving glacier to single hand the retrieval of our drone. Gary had to a travel a half a mile to position himself directly under the drone, amid an iceberg field to retrieve our beloved drone. Meanwhile back on board I watched as we drifted closer and closer to a nearby islet and rocky shoreline. I started the engine and put the boat in gear and slowly motored to Gary for the final retrieval of my captain, dinghy, and drone. Later that day we went ashore to test our drone from land and harvest some glacier ice for our cocktails.
