Brunei

Located on the northern coast of Borneo, this country is completely surrounded by the Malaysian state of Sarawalk.   This country is under Sultan rule, the current Sultan's father worked out an arrangement with Shell Oil to change the enrichment of the of the country from mere trinkets to 51% of profits.    Due to this and the Sultans laws the current status has Brunei residents sitting pretty well, free health care, free University,  and no income taxes.  The country has preserved rainforests, is clean and has lots of new infrastructure. I cannot proclaim to know much about how Sharia Law is working for them, but as a tourist we did not have any issues.  Sailing to and from Brunei was very scenic, oil platforms (some burning gas) and gas ships abound.
