50 wooden stilts homes on a small sandy island make up this entire community. The people were are smiles and very friendly to us.

So, that fishing hut is floating on pontoons and somewhat mobile? How cool... but what's not cool is the plastic bottles and trash. Too bad they don't seem to use trash cans!
ReplyDeleteThey burn their trash, I am not sure if the trash is from the islanders or another island it is very common for it to spill off the islands road into the rivers and directly in and it floats to another location. Note in US we recycle but we USED to send it to China, who has refused ours and Australia's recycling so our recyclable materials are going in our land fill (which leaches into our water supply)
