Australia- Diving

Great Barrier Reef (GBR) is infamous for its size 1,429 miles of reef, accessibility, habitat and species diversity.  We have found out that the weather isn't always in favor of accessing dive sites and the visibility is usually not that good (a great day would give us 15 foot visibility).  We have been diving South of Cairns and are not yet at the best parts of GBR.  Stay tuned, there will be a lot more to see/sea!

Feather Stars- a sedentary creature of the group crinoid ( one of the first echinoderms to appear in fossil records some 300 million years ago!). It's feathers tentacles are used to feed on plankton and bring food to its mouth.
