We had a windy 10 day passage, several days with 30-35 knot winds & 16 foot seas to Australia. We logged 1,658 miles from Opua New Zealand to Bundaberg Australia. I was very happy when we dropped anchor. We had plans of resting, provisioning and then taking off to explore the islands of the Great Barrier Reef. Fortunately Gary spotted our frayed stay while we were at the Marina and now we will work on getting it repaired before departing. Since we had some down time Gary did some research to see if we could stay in Indonesia longer and also go to Thailand. After exhaustive research and planning, we have decided to delay our sail back to the US by one year and we will now be touring Malaysia, Thailand and Singapore (Indonesia was already in our plan). Please feel free to send me an email if you have any travel advice for my world traveling friends.
