After touring the islands we headed back to Efate to pick up a friend who will sail with us to New Zealand. We stopped at Havana Harbor on the way back to Port Villa.

We had plans to tour Tanna's Mt Yasur to see the active volcano. We took anchorage off the coast where the customs and immigration office is located. After touring around, finding out immigration has left the island for a couple days we decided to pull anchor. ( Several of our yacht friends toured the island and enjoyed the scenery. Unfortunately several of them got small cuts from a hike that than got infected from the flies . They were treated with antibiotics but one friend had to fly out for hospital care in Sydney) |
