New Caledonia- A French island in the South Pacific

The weather in the  Pacific has not cooperated for us to have a safe passage to NZ so we went to New Caledonia from Vanuatu to wait for a weather window to sail to Opua.   In the mean time we have been gorging on french bread, coffee, wine and fine dining.   The weather is windy here too and we wanted to scuba the barrier reef , it is 2nd in size compared to Australia's.   Due to weather we did a plongee at the Lagoon which is spectacularly large.
